Meet Maria
Maria Lawrence
Maria is an attorney and has a Master’s in Counseling, which is the basis for her exceptional problem solving and communication skills.
Maria co-owned a top gymnastics gym in Phoenix for 8 years that had more than 1100 athletes participating in programs ranging from developmental, recreational, Junior Olympics, XCEL, Tumbling and Ninja Zone prior to launching Influence Gymnastics. She has significant experience in business operations, human resources, sales and marketing within the private gymnastics industry and is USAG and safety certified.
She has extensive experience in the operations and administration of the gymnastics business and frequently utilizes her law degree to create and implement legal documents and policies and procedures.
Maria’s strength lies in her communication skills and human resources experience.
She also has significant sales and marketing experience within the private gymnastics industry. Maria has over 16 years in the gymnastics arena and brings a wealth of business and direct gymnastics experience to Influence Gymnastics.

In today’s culture, children are bombarded through social media with images and expectations of what they should look like and how they should act. At Influence, your child is esteemed and encouraged for not just sports achievements but character attributes like being nice, kind, honest, respectful and hard working, to name a few. In addition to developing strong competitors, our goal is to teach children their value and worth outside of the sports arena. Who they are is more important than what they do!
Additionally, we focus on the parents, understanding from direct experience that parents’ needs are under-served in most sports clubs across the country. Our business culture recognizes that strong communication, sensitivity to budgetary and scheduling issues, and the treatment of their children are parents’ primary concerns and will be at the heart of all we do. What We Offer
Influence Gymnastics is a children’s gymnastics gym with Olympic class coaching and state-of-the-art equipment. We are a private gym that caters to girls’ gymnastics but also offers Kinder, NINJA, Cheer, Tumbling, Parties, Camps and Special Events.
We are devoted to training athletes so they can become more disciplined and focused to improve their overall health. We want your children to Influence the world in a positive, healthy way through the movement of Gymnastics, Cheer, Ninja and Tumbling.
Our Facilities
Influence has brand new, state-of-the-art equipment and boasts over 33,000 square feet, specifically designed for the highest level of gymnastics, Cheer and Ninja training.
We have 3 competition floors, several pits and resi landing surfaces, an in the ground trampoline and in the ground tumble track.
Our Olympic-level gymnastics coaching serves girls for competitive and recreational programs and both boys and girls in Kinder, Ninja, Cheer and Tumbling classes. Influence also offers Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall Day Camps, as well as one day holiday camps when your children are out of school.
Our Special Events Team will host your birthday party, Parent’s Night Out and Open Gyms for extra special flipping fun in the gym without any hassle or work for you.
